10Four is a non-profit youth center in Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to provide a safe and fun community center for underserved youth to reach their full potential. We fill the opportunity gap through skill-building workshops, enriching programs, and access to state-of-the-art resources. Our youth center is free to attend and open after school and during the summer. Children ages 7-18 may attend 10Four after registering.
We focus on broadening the perceived realm of possibility of our youth. We accomplish our goals by providing positive role models, life-changing experiences, mentorship, and support. Our programs focus on Reading, Art, Music, Computer Literacy, STEM, Tutoring, Games, Food, Health & Wellness, Sports and Outdoor Activity. We work to engage and guide our underprivileged youth as they pursue their passions and life aspirations.
Our primary mission is to provide underserved kids a safe haven after school. A large number of youth children are on the street and/or without parental guidance after school for hours. Our initial point of emphasis is ensuring our Youth Center is a place kids can feel comfortable and safe. Safe to 10Four means access to mentorship, friendship, clean water, clean air, snacks and a 10Four community to lift you up. We are the “after school home” underserved youth need.
Our secondary mission is to provide access to exciting and fun resources underserved youth don’t traditionally have. 10Four is a place where kids can be kids and explore and grow for hours each day. Our center is built for kids to enjoy themselves on state-of-the-art computers, professional drawing tables or a table game. Whether it’s playing games with friends, creating an art piece, reading comics or exploring on the computer, we bring passion and joy into the lives of our youth.
Once our youth feel safe, comfortable and are having fun, the next step is supporting their aspirations. We broaden the horizons of our youth with access to new experiences and knowledge. Whether is outdoor adventures, learning about mental health and wellness or financial literacy conversations, we strengthen our underserved youth, so they can pursue their dreams. Our highest purpose is to support and assist our Youth to become the best versions of themselves.
During the entire Denver school year, 10Four is a no-cost after school program for youth 7-18 years old. Our program management staff is experienced in behavioral health, crisis prevention and counseling. We offer games such as Ping Pong, Foosball, Shuffleboard, Air Hockey, Cards and Board Games. We have a Computer room with computers for video and image editing, online gaming, and internet research. We have a full art studio with Clay, Drawing, and Painting. We also have a Study Room with areas to read, study, or play on a tablet. We provide Graphic Novels and Books to read as well.
One of our main focuses is on health and wellness. We believe movement, sports and activity is critical to a child’s mental and physical well-being. 10Four offers an Outdoor Adventure Club and daily movements activities such as yoga and basketball. We also provide a health cooking club to educate and empower our youth to be able to provide for themselves when they find themselves alone during meal time.
10Four is an approved Community Partner of Denver Public Schools. You can find our company listing on the DAA Connect website, a Denver Afterschool Alliance program.
